Viking's insider believes CB Cam Dantzler could be in danger of losing his starting job

It's been a rough few weeks for Minnesota Vikings corner Cam Dantzler.

The former third-round pick struggled in a 24-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football two weeks ago.

And while he played every defensive snap in Minnesota's 28-24 win over the Detroit Lions last week, Dantzler has been burned again in coverage, allowing seven pass completions on seven targets for 94 yards.

Could lead to Dantzler losing his job once 2022 second-round pick Andrew Booth Jr. returns from a quadriceps injury he's been dealing with since Week 2.

Dantzler is a talented player; I don't think he's in the right spot a lot of times.

I think there's a coaching frustration there. If (Andrew) Booth will end up challenging him because they clearly like him.

Patrick Peterson predicts Cam Dantzler will start opposite him in 2022

But acknowledges that Andrew Booth Jr. and his talent will make both him and Dantzler work for their starting positions.
