NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress Saba Azad, who essayed the role of Parvana Irani in ‘Rocket Boys’, has found a special place in the hearts of the audience after her mind-blowing performance in the serial. The actress not only lights up the series with her magnetic screen presence, but she is also a hub of talent. Her luminous and seductive aura in the recently premiered TV series has undoubtedly acted as a catalyst in her professional life and has ultimately led Saba to bigger projects. The actress is currently one of the most talked-about celebrities in B-Town and has made headlines time and again due to her performance in Rocket Boys.

Recently, the ‘Rocket Boys’ actress talked about how she got the role of Parvana Irani. The audition process took a heavy toll during the two-year pandemic and artists all over the world had to opt for the self-evaluation method.

Throwing light on the same, Saba says, “Kavish Sinha (casting director) called me for an audition for ‘Rocket Boys’ in May 2020 during the first shutdown, at that time due to covid, all the actors had to do self-evaluations. We learned to be self-sufficient in a way, and we helped each other do these tests, sometimes getting cues from a zoom call on the laptop while shooting on the phone leaning on books, sometimes even shooting a test with no dialogue cues just taking pauses for the other character’s dialogue in one’s head.”

Talking about her experience of doing a self-evaluation session, Saba said, “It wasn’t easy to do a test without casting directors present. You end up using a lot of imagination about what is expected. I ended up doing quite a bit of research on the era Rocket was set in, reading about the two scientists who created my own image of Pipsy down to the hair and makeup, and styling was a really enjoyable process. am satisfied. For this one, my best friend came over and helped me very patiently with the camera and the signs taken after the shot. I didn’t have proper lighting, so we used reading lamps to illuminate the frame.”

Currently, Saba Azad is enjoying the success of the ‘Rocket Boys’ for which she is highly appreciated. Meanwhile, she is ready to be seen in ‘Rocket Boys 2’. Apart from that, the actress is looking forward to the release of ‘Minimum’ where she will be seen slipping into the role of a French girl.
