The film industry is in complete shock after the Sushant Singh Rajput demise. There is no outpouring of grief for those who have worked with or been close to Sushant. No one is sure that Sushant is no more. It is sadder that he went in this way, which nobody would have imagined even in his dream. Shraddha Kapoor, who worked with Sushant in ‘Chichore’, is in a similar situation. Even after four days, that reverence is immersed in this sorrow. After a little handling, Shraddha shared her memories of Sushant on Instagram, via a highly emotional note.
Shraddha wrote- “I am trying to accept what has happened. It is very difficult. There has been a great emptiness, Sushant. Dear Sushant Polite, intelligent, curious for life, beauty in everything, everywhere. One who dances in his own fun. Always hopeful on the set. Thinking about what our next conversation would be. He was a brilliant personality with an excellent fellow artist.
The people he valued wanted to see him happy. His sweet smile. During the film shoot, we used to talk about astronomy, various philosophy. The moments we went through were full of magic. An evening of poetry and music at his home. He showed the moon with his telescope, and I was silent after seeing this beauty so close.
Our Chhichhore Gang had gone to their house, where Shanti and Prakrit took a delight. He loved nature very much. Common things fascinated him and he used to see him in his genius style. Really, he was the only one of his kind. Shraddha says I will miss you very much. Dearest “Sushant”. Keep on shining.’
Chhichhore was released in 2019. The film was directed by Dangal’s Nitesh Tiwari. Sushant played the role of an engineer who considers himself a loser in the film, but when the teenage son tries to commit suicide, he is shaken and then tells the story of his loser gang to cheer him up.
Film “Chichore” was commercially successful and is considered one of Sushant’s finest performances. Sushant had committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on 14 June. However, the exact cause of suicide has not yet been known. It is being said that he was in depression for six months.
Shraddha Kapoor, along with Sushant Singh Rajput’s Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon, received a backlash online for failing to write about the actor the same day he died like many others in Bollywood. That they both had a deeper connection to him was made abundantly clear by his presence at the funeral, which not only silenced the trolls but also completely changed the social media narrative. Sushant Singh Rajput another Chhichhore co-star Varun Sharma and his Kai Po Che! Co-star Rajkummar Rao was also present at the funeral along with filmmakers Dinesh Vijan, who directed Sushant in Raabta, and Abhishek Kapoor, who worked with Sushant on Kai Po Che! and Kedarnath.
